Bob Hope School is a growing, high-performing open-enrollment public charter school, founded in 2010. Its charter holder is The Hughen Center, Inc. whose roots began over 80 years ago. Campuses are located in Port Arthur and Beaumont, Texas, approximately 90 miles east of Houston. Current year enrollment at Bob Hope School is 2,300 students over three campuses in grades Pre-K through 12th. The mission of Bob Hope School is to provide a safe, orderly environment in which students are intrinsically motivated to become life-long learners in a global society and where teachers, parents, and the community collaborate to address the needs and diversity of all students. Bob Hope School's philosophy is as follows: We believe each person has merit, dignity, and can make a valid contribution to society. We believe in the "total" child including mind, body, and spirit.
