Ironworkers Local #512 was founded in 1937 with the merger of Minneapolis (#19, 1904) and St. Paul (#94, 1906) by the International Association of Bridge, Structural, Ornamental and Reinforcing Ironworkers. Duluth (#563) and North Dakota (#793) joined in 2004. Today, Local #512’s area spans approx. 175,000 sq miles with over 2000 active members.
