The Electrical Apprentice - Level 1 is responsible for electrical installations, troubleshooting, and maintenance within the commercial and industrial settings.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education: High School Diploma or GED and enrollment in Electrical Apprenticeship-Level 1 (if applicable)
Travel: 0-25%
Work Schedule: Between the hours of 5 am to 6 pm, Monday through Friday. May vary based on customer demands and can include, but is not limited to: nights, weekends, and holidays.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
•Install maintain, and provide basic troubleshooting of electrical systems.
•Installs electrical raceways and wire, lighting, controls, machinery, and electrical distribution equipment under the supervision of an experienced Journeymen Electrician.
•Demonstrates appropriate skills of a First Year Apprentice.
•Installs and Bends conduit using manual. Mechanical, and hydraulic benders.
•Performs Wire and Cable Pulls.
•Wiring – Stripping, splice two wires, install switch and receptacle, Draw 3 switches to control one light.
•Knowledge of different types of anchors and supports and how to properly install.
•Competent with a tape measure and level.
•Knowledge of different sizes of conductors and phase colors of voltages.
•Assists with material handling duties on the jobsite.
•Provides technical assistance to other apprentices as needed.
•Maintains compliance with company policies.
•Maintains compliance with all OSHA, Company, and customer-specific safety requirements.
•Cleans and maintains tools, test equipment, and jobsite.
•Actively participates in Faith’s hiring referral and mentoring program, as appropriate.
•Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
