The EDDR Foundation in collaboration with Illinois Works offers a 10 week (250 hour) Construction Pre-Apprenticeship Training Program that will provide students with an introduction to practices used in the construction industry (such as Basic Safety , Construction Math, blueprint reading and more). Students will develop safe work habits while learning about various tools and procedures used in the construction trades. Students will be introduced to a variety of skills such as basic communication concepts, goal setting, resume writing, job interview techniques, time management, and critical thinking. At the end of the program, students will receive a globally recognized construction credential from NCCER, OSHA 10 certification, Flagger certification, and a first-aid/CPR certification.
