Job Title: Electrical Apprentice Job Summary: EMCOR Facilities Services has an immediate opening for an 2nd year Electrical Apprentice in Golden, CO. The Technician will report daily to the Maintenance Supervisor and support him to provide quality workmanship and high work standards to maintain a professional working environment. Assist in repair, replacement and or refurbishing of electrical systems in commercial and or industrial setting. Fire Alarm Experience a plus. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist in the repair, replacement, and refurbishing of all electrical components. Effectively manage time and complete all tasks delegated by the supervising authority. Assist the electrician in all functions and follow necessary safety norms and regulations. Install basic electrical components and systems under the supervision of the electrical supervisor. Attend job training and other related activities as it relates to an electrical apprenticeship program.
Qualifications:
Must be 21 Years of Age or older High School graduate or G.E.D. is required. 2 years of experience related to Electrical commercial or industrial work and have a registered Electrical apprentice.Valid driver’s license. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Mathematical Skills - to complete electrical calculations using multiplication; division; addition; subtraction, and electrical formulas. Knowledge of fiber cabling equipment utilized for testing, installations and troubleshooting. Ability to learn how to read and understand repair manuals, specifications, drawings, and schematic diagrams. Time management skills to coordinate work schedule, training, and required paperwork.
