Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Journeyman Ironworkers for a project located in Belle Chasse, LA . This is a first shift opportunity working 50-84hrs/week and the pay rate is $31-33/hour based on experience and skill level plus $85 per diem for candidates living more than 60 miles from the job site. Job Scope:
•Identify All Tools Required for Tasks
•Identify Safety Risks and the Precautions Required to Eliminate Risks
•Fabricate Equipment According to Blueprints or Instructions from Supervisors
•Hoist Equipment and Tools into a Location via Bull Rigging or Crane
•Verify Vertical or Horizontal Alignment of Structural Steel Members Using Plumb Bobs, Laser Equipment, Transits, and/or Levels
•Connect Columns, Beams, and Girders with Bolts Following Blueprints
•Bolt Aligned Structural Steel Members in Position for Permanent Riveting or Bolting
•Pull, Push, or Pry Iron/Steel Equipment into Approximate Positions for Bolting into Place
•Cut, Bend, and Weld Iron/Steel Pieces Using Metal Sheers, Torches, and Welding Equipment
Requirements:
•4+ Years of Experience as an Ironworker Helper or Structural Ironworker
•Must be able to Work at Heights in Excess of 300 ft.
•Must Have all Required Tools
•Sign on Bonus paid in 4 parts - $500 on weeks 1, 3, 5, and 8
