Eaton’s IS AER FMC division is currently seeking a CNC Lead Machinist - 2nd Shift.
The hourly rate for this position is $36.00 per hour.

Position Overview:
A front-line leader of our CNC Department will lead and coordinate activities of CNC Machinists. Responsible for developing and improving the precision machining, manufacturing processes, and department personnel by providing leadership and accountability for all department matters.

In this function you will:
•Inspects products to verify conformance to specifications and directs setup and adjustments of machines.
•Set-up machines as needed.
•Checks on tooling for job.
•Follows manufacturing process and ensures employees do the same.
•Interprets company policies to workers and enforces OSHA, EPA, DNR and other agency safety regulations.
•Ensure compliance with quality procedures, plant safety procedures, OSHA and other government agency regulations.
•Carries out emergency evacuation and contingency plans for designated plant(s).
•Interprets specifications, blueprints, and job orders to workers, and assigns duties.
•Operates machines as needed.
•Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
•Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems.
•Performs activities of workers supervised.
•Schedules work for machines and personnel per the direction from Production Planning and monitors progress.
•Trains new and existing personnel according to essential job duties and ISO procedures.
•Checks on materials for production.
•Delegates tasks for department personnel to complete.
•Holds department meetings when needed.
Qualifications:
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
•High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution
•Minimum three (5) years’ previous work experience as a Machinist
•Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.
•This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. ‘Green Card Holder’), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
•No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Irvine will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
Preferred qualifications:
•Previous work experience in the Aerospace Industry
•Mazak machining experience
Position Criteria:
•Knowledge & use of shop mathematics
•Knowledge of Geometric symbols
•Able to read and interpret drawings & schematics
•Experience using a variety of measuring tools / instruments
