Eaton’s IS AER FED is currently seeking a High Magnification Solderer. This position is based at our Bethel, CT facility.
Eaton is a premier manufacturer in the aerospace business supporting commercial, military and space applications.
The Solderer (White Room) is responsible for soldering and reworking very small and intricate products. The ideal candidate will have exceptional hand dexterity along with a working knowledge in reading, interpreting, and utilizing technical procedures and blueprints. The individual must be comfortable working in a team environment. This first shift position is well suited for a patient individual who is a fast learner, is focused on quality output, and enjoys working in a demanding atmosphere.
Core hours: 7AM-3:30PM
The hourly rate for this position is $23.00-$28.00 per hour.

What you’ll do:
•Solder electro-mechanical components under a microscope and/or a magnifying glass
•Assemble, setup and maintain tooling
•Recommend design and process improvements to enhance manufacturability
•Perform visual inspection of parts
•Maintain quality records
•Interpret customer and supplier requirements
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
•High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution
•Minimum 1 year of soldering experience
•Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and in the future
•This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. ‘Green Card Holder’), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
•No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 60-mile radius of Bethel, CT will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
Preferred Qualifications:
•One year soldering experience using a microscope

•Ability to work using a microscope for long periods of time
•Ability to successfully solder to the acceptability requirements of J-STD-001
