Job description
Eaton’s EPG BLD BLine Division division is currently seeking a Welder- 2nd shift on 2nd shift.
Shift Hours: 3:30pm - 12am Monday - Friday.
The hourly rate for this position is $20.58 per hour, and a $0.40/hour increase for 2nd shift.

What you’ll do:
•
Ability to read blueprints and shop orders. Responsible for safety, quality, production quotas, and all documentation associated with product movement and confirmations.
•
Weld components in flat, vertical, and overhead position.
•
Set-up and troubleshoot welding equipment.
•
Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments using MIG welding process.
•
Examine workpieces for defects and measure workpieces with straightedges or templates to ensure conformance with specifications.
•
Layout, position, align and secure parts using straightedges, combination squares, calipers and rulers.
•
Weld separately or in combination using aluminum, stainless steel and other alloys.
•
Mark or tag material with proper identification as required
•
Remove excess weld, slag, spatter and rough spots from workpieces using grinders, had files or scrapers
•
Position and secure workpieces using hoists, cranes, wire and banding machines or hand tools
•
Fill holes and increase the size of metal parts
•
Analyze engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, sketches, and work orders to plan layout, assembly and welding operations
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
•
Experience with reading blueprints/ drawings
•
No relocation offered. Candidates must reside within 50 miles of Pinckneyville, IL in order to be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Authorized to work in the United States without Company Sponsorship
Preferred qualifications:
•
Welding Diploma/Certification
•
Welding Experience
•
Knowledge of welding symbols
•
Knowledge of quality inspections
•
Ability to operate overhead crane
