Eaton’s EPG BLD BLine Division division is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician- 1st Shift on our 1st shift.
Core SHift Hours: 7AM-3:30PM Monday - Friday. Overtime may extend these hours, and may be mandatory at certain times.
The hourly rate for this position is $25.45 - $31.00 per hour.

What you’ll do:
In this function you will:
•Troubleshoot, design and install electrical, electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic and electromechanical equipment.
•Read, interpret and program PLC languages.
•Determine root cause of equipment failures and develop preventive measures.
•Perform electrical and mechanical design, fabrication and alteration
•Solve complex electrical and mechanical problems including hydraulic, pneumatic and electronics
•Diagnose machine operation failures and downtime using PLC controls and PC programming
•Inspect, operate, or test machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions
•Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches, to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices.
•Assemble, install, or repair wiring, electrical or electronic components, pipe systems, plumbing, machinery, or equipment.
•Inspect drives, motors, and belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, or perform other maintenance actions,.
•Repair or replace defective equipment parts, using hand tools and power tools, and reassemble equipment.
•Order parts, supplies, and equipment.
•Dismantle devices to access and remove defective parts, using hoists, cranes, hand tools, and power tools.
•Plan and lay out repair work, using diagrams, drawings, blueprints, maintenance manuals, or schematic diagrams.
•Operate cutting torches or welding equipment
•Execute assigned work orders
•Contribute to Facility Safety
•Communicate with immediate Supervisor, and Lead to conduct Preventive Maintenance as assigned
•Support outside contractors when working on site.
•Work with immediate Supervisor to identify personal knowledge gaps and desired training opportunities to improve efficiency
•Address facility issues, work with team members to determine root cause and preventative solutions.
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
•Two year technical degree or certification in either electronics, electrical power and controls, fluid power, HVAC or basic PLC programming
•Must reside within 50 miles of Pinckneyville, IL to be considered. Active Duty military are exempt from the geographical requirement. Please answer ‘yes’ to this requirement if so.
•Must be authorized to work without visa sponsorship, now and in the future
Preferred Qualifications:
•Strong electrical background and experience
•Experience in a manufacturing maintenance role
•Demonstrated knowledge of PLC electronic controls
