SUMMARY
Install, maintain, and troubleshoot malfunctions on a variety of complex, integrated heating, ventilating, refrigeration, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems in the school system.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education diploma (GED).
Completion of an accredited HVACR technical school and three to five years related experience.
Proficiency in the operation of voltmeters, amp meters, and ohm meters.

Must respond to any job emergencies anytime needed.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
H.V.A.C. License helpful
Must have and maintain a Valid Indiana Driver License
EPA approved Universal Refrigerant Recovery Certification
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Inspection, operation and repair of various types of mechanical equipment such as pumps, electrical motors, ahu’s, vfd’s, vav’s, boilers, and hydronic systems.
Maintain and repair or replace components on various air conditioner units’ chillers, rooftop units, wet and dry side systems, cooling towers, centrifugal, hermetic, screw, and scroll compressors.
Maintain and repair major steam or hot water leaks throughout system, repairing or replacing steam or hot water heating piping and associated equipment parts as needed.
Maintain and repair various refrigeration equipment.
Install, maintain, and repair D.D.C. controls, BAS, cabling, relays, and all associated equipment. Must be able to communicate with various building automation systems from work station or computer.
Install, maintain, and repair fan, cabinet, and unit heaters.
Install, maintain, and repair gas heating equipment.
Occasionally assist boilermakers with repairs.
Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
