•May operate hand and power tools of all types: air hammers, earth tampers, cement mixers, small mechanical hoists, surveying and measuring equipment, and a variety of other equipment and instruments
•May clean and prepare sites, dig trenches, set braces to support the sides of excavations, erect scaffolding, and clean up rubble, debris, and other waste materials
•Adhere to the business’ set standards, follow all rules, and comply to legal regulations
•Promote and comply with all Company and safety policies and procedures
•Perform tasks and other duties as directed by Journeyman/Supervisor
•May assist other craft workers
•Meet hard deadlines and work to strict schedules
•Solve problems and think critically to resolve issues
•Follow instructions clearly and work well as part of a team
•High school diploma or GED
•Must be at least 18 years of age
•0 to 4,000 On the job Training hours
•Experience using basic power tools preferred
•Take reasonable care of your own and others’ health and safety and of those who may be affected by the day-to-day delivery of this role by taking personal responsibility for working toward Wanzek’s Zero Injury principles
•Ability to travel and work away from home base area for the entire duration of the apprenticeship program
•Ability to perform tasks as directed by Journeyman Written and verbal communication skills
