Job Summary
The Production Apprentice will support the production workforce in various spaces. The main objective of this role is gain knowledge and understanding of the production industry. This role will be a hands-on learning experience while assisting in different production projects and processes.
Essential Functions
These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive and other duties may be assigned.
•Job shadow production workforce to gain knowledge and insight in the production industry.
•Provide support on day-to-day activities, such as: inventory verification, locating missing parts, supporting material routes, setup/layout of work centers, work center updates and audits.
•Participate in engagement activities and in Continuous Improvement (CI) activities.
•Operate hand tools as needed.
•Perform production duties as needed.
•Every employee is expected to:
•Complete all required paperwork including labor reporting and documentation of quality control and material movement.
•Work safely and maintain the work area with high standards of housekeeping.
•Perform self-inspection and other required quality control functions at the employee’s workstation.
•Perform other duties as assigned by Supervision.
Required Qualifications
•High School diploma or equivalent enrolled education.
•Frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
•Lifting devices are available and recommended.
Preferred Qualifications
•Interest in manufacturing industry.
