The Building Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance tasks, including predictive, planned, preventative, and routine maintenance, as well as site ground inspections and service requests. They will assist in the development and improvement of preventative maintenance programs, schedules, and operational procedures. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, along with 1+ years of experience in basic preventive/predictive maintenance, general building repairs, and plumbing. Strong attention to detail and the ability to work safely and efficiently are required for this role. Knowledge of CMMS and proficiency in using power tools and Microsoft Office Suite are preferred. A current state license to operate company vehicles is necessary, and the candidate should be available for on-call support for off-shift emergencies.
Responsibilities
•Performs predictive, planned, preventative and routine maintenance as well as site ground inspections and service requests as directed. Performs maintenance in accordance with the JLL Preventative Maintenance Program. Assist with the development and improvement of preventative maintenance programs, schedules, work instructions, SOP’s, and operational procedures.
•Performs all duties in a safe manner and in accordance with established work standards and practices.
•Determines and/or assists with analyzing and resolving work problems and achieving work goals.
•Maintains time and production records and customer service requests utilizing a variety of computer/technology tools.
•Must be comfortable and flexible enough to work with a wide-ranging and changing scope of responsibilities while adhering to the constraints of procedures put in place to minimize the risk for human error.
•Team player with the desire to foster teamwork to help create a positive working environment.
•Perform maintenance and repairs including but not limited to plumbing and water filtration systems, doors, painting, and various other building maintenance responsibilities.
•Maintains responsibility for preventative maintenance and general maintenance.
•Performs and/or completes all service requests accurately and expediently.
•Complies with all policies and procedures established for the building, including safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials while maintaining a clean and safe workplace.
•Actively participates in emergency response procedures, technical and safety training programs.
•Perform all work using the proper safety equipment and in a safe manner.
•On call 24/7 to support off-shift emergencies
Basic Qualifications
•High school diploma or equivalent
•1+ years of experience in basic preventive/predictive maintenance
•1+ years of experience in general building repairs
•1 + years of experience in plumbing
•Ability to climb ladders in excess of 50 feet
•Ability to perform tasks on roofs
•Attend and pass annual radiological training
•Able to perform tasks in a controlled radiological environment
•Pass background checks to include drug testing
•Current state license to operate company vehicles
Preferred Qualifications
•3 years of experience using power tools to include saws and drills with proper safety precautions.
•3 years of experience performing craftsman level plumbing work
•Experience with Microsoft Office suite and OS
•Basic understanding of a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
