•Set up, adjust and operate pullbores to machine a variety of diameter parts and tubes to close tolerances. Recognize machining problems by sound, off-standard or unusual cutting conditions and adjust accordingly. Perform test cuts to ensure that the job is setup correctly.
•Working from blueprints, routings, process sheets, etc., maintain specified tolerances and insure concentricity, checking own work with precision measuring devices.
•Select, prepare and install respective tooling (including calculation of head size, grinding of heads) including bars, bushings, packing and spring assembly. Adjust speeds, feeds, tooling and operational sequences as needed to resolve machining problems and to meet production standards.
•Complete inspection and required documentation.
•Initiate process change and adjustment requests and maintain accurate records of operations including Statistical Process Control charting. Working with other work group members, assist in development of special tooling and problem solving.
•Operate multiple machines simultaneously as needed to meet production schedules.
•General knowledge of machining practices
•Knowledge of shop math and able to work from blueprints and specifications.
•Experience with a variety of precision measuring instruments.
•Familiar with use of crane and other lifting devices.
•Able to lift and carry 50 lb
