JOB SUMMARY:
The Journeyman Electrician is responsible for installation, start up, and shut down of equipment; troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment. This role will require a thorough knowledge of electrical and mechanical theories and principles, writing specifications, local and national electrical codes, properties of carious materials, principles of operation and application of electrical equipment.
•Starting Pay: $32 - $36/hour based on experience
•High school diploma/GED Not required

•Pay Increases every 6 months, based on performance
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive and other duties may be assigned.
•Install, start up, and shut down equipment in accordance with company safety procedures in line with OSHA requirements.
•Troubleshoot and repair electrical/electronic equipment.
•Plan electrical work utilizing thorough background knowledge of electrical/electronic and machinal theories and principles, local and national electrical codes, and properties of various materials.
•Advise operators and maintenance technicians of operation procedures and requirements for working safely with electric/electronic and machinal equipment components.
•Inform appropriate management and maintenance of potential electrical/mechanical plans and inherent dangers involved.
•Assist and train apprentices and technical team members.
•Perform preventative maintenance functions as needed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
•High School Diploma or its equivalent.
•Electrical Journeyman license.
•Three (3) of relevant electrical experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
•Familiarity and understanding of local and national electrical codes.
•Ability to work well with all levels of personnel, individually or in a team environment.
•Ability to interface and communicate with operators to assist with repair sand troubleshooting.
•Willing to work any shift and overtime as required.
•Experience and ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
•A thorough knowledge in all areas of industrial electricity, electrical/electronic components and equipment including the use of special instruments for diagnostic purposes.

•Physical Demands: Frequent Standing, Walking/Running, Reaching, Bending/Kneeling, Hearing, Talking, Visual, Fine Dexterity (small muscle movements), Manual Dexterity (use of hands); Occasional Climbing, Driving, Lifting/Carrying 30 lbs., Pushing/Pulling 30 lbs.; Seldom Sitting, Typing, Upper Extremity Repetitive Motion.
•Non-Physical Demands: Frequent Analysis/Reasoning, Communication/Interpretation, Reading, Sustained Mental Activity (i.e., auditing, problem solving, grant writing, composing reports, etc.); Occasional Math/Mental Computation, Writing.
•Environmental Demands: Frequent Work Alone, Frequent Task Changes, High Volume Public Contact, Dust, Loud Noises; Occasional Tedious/Exacting Work, Temperature Extremes, Physical Danger; Seldom Toxic Substances (i.e. solvents, pesticides, etc.)
•Work Schedule: Considerable irregularity of hours due to frequent overtime, weekend or shift rotation.
•Demands/Deadlines: Occasional stress due to deadlines or workload because of intermittent or cyclical work pressures, or occasional exposure to distressed individuals within the immediate work environment.
