JOB SUMMARY:
The Digital Manufacturing Information Technology (IT) Intern will support the Digital Manufacturing department within the IT function, including Data Management, Systems Development, Business Analysis, Testing, Project Management, Cyber Security, EOC, Service Desk, and Technical Analysis. This role will work side by side with IT professionals and participate in numerous projects. The objective of this role will be to further your insight within the discipline and utilize your academic knowledge gained in school to help understand the professional business IT field.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive and other duties may be assigned.
•Provide day-to-day support to the Digital Manufacturing group.
•Learn how to identify, analyze, and apply information technology business practices to support strategic business process and plans.
•Participate as required to support the design, development, testing, and integration of shop floor technology.
•Participate in the implementation of information technology and business processes.
•Document business processes working alongside business and IT professionals.
•Support the implementation of cutting-edge technology advancing JLG’s digital factory initiatives.
•Support, evaluate, and continuously improve information technology and business processes to maintain alignment with business plans.
•Perform activities accordingly to project plans and schedule.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
•Student in a sophomore standing or greater working towards an undergraduate degree in Industrial Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent.
•Willing to relocate for the summer to Hagerstown, MD or Shippensburg, PA for the duration of the summer 2021 internship.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
•Zero (0) to One (1) year of relevant experience.
•General understanding of information technology and concepts.
•Demonstrated excellence in customer service; verbal and written communication skills.
•Ability to work independently while prioritizing workload.
•Flexible and adaptable to work under deadlines and/or changing needs.
•Detailed oriented and quality focuses.
•Analytical and problem solving skills.
