Summary:
The HVAC Service Technician is responsible for installing, repairing, and routine maintenance on residential and light commercial equipment/systems. Must be reliable, able to manage timing and scheduling, be able to communicate clearly, and have a great attitude.
Essential Functions include but are not limited to:
•Maintaining, and repairing ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipment.
•Identifying maintenance risks on equipment.
•Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems.
•Cleaning, adjusting, and repairing systems, and performing warranty services.
•Performing emergency repairs promptly and efficiently.
•Providing technical direction and on-the-job training.
•Keeping daily logs and records of all maintenance functions.
•Ensuring compliance with appliance standards and with Occupational Health and Safety Act.
•Complying with service standards, work instructions and customers’ requirements.
•Assisting with customers’ queries.
Competencies:
•1 -2 year experience as an HVAC technician preferred but not required
•Willingness to continue education in HVAC field.
•Must be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs.
•Regularly required to work around operating equipment, work in confined spaces, stand for long periods of time, walk, reach, stoop, crawl, twist, bend and climb ladders.
•Maintain open communication with company staff and customer in a professional manner.
•Understand and efficiently use basic computer hardware and software.
•Maintain a clean, safe driving record.
•Passionate about contributing as an individual and loves winning as a team.
Physical Demands:
•Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, crawl, climb, kneel, balance, push, pull, and reach overhead.
•Possess good vision (normal or corrected).
•Carry material from one location to another or floor to floor.
•Lifting, positioning, and fastening of heavy electrical equipment.
