What this job involves - With a limited amount of supervision, operates all equipment in a safe and efficient manner. Monitors all critical and building systems and make adjustments and repairs as needed. Respond to emergency and non-emergency calls. Performs all maintenance and repair of all types of electromechanical equipment. Maintains equipment logs and preventive maintenance records. Assist in the compiling of data for daily and monthly reports. Maintenance on UPS systems, switchgear, transfer switches, and the entire electrical distribution system. Report all unsafe conditions and failures to supervisors. Perform Housekeeping duties in the MERs and electric closets. Perform all work in a workman like manner following all safety guidelines. All employees must wear their supplied uniforms, safety shoes and personal protective equipment. Shift electricians must be willing to perform other miscellaneous duties as directed by supervisors whether in the electrical craft or not.
What is your day to day?
•Work with high- and low-voltage systems, such as transformers, high voltage primary feed and secondary transformers to include installation, troubleshooting and repair as required.
•Work from CAD drawings/blueprints, schematics, sketches or verbal instructions to install modify, troubleshoot, maintain and repair equipment and components as required.
•Operate efficiently, all hand/power tools, test instruments and equipment normally used by this trade and maintain/return in good condition.
•Perform new electrical installs in accordance with NEC.
•Communicates with customers, management, colleagues, Planners/Schedulers and Operations Managers regarding issues, project completion timelines and workload priorities.
•Troubleshoot electrical issues related to pumps, fans, motors, heaters, boilers, valves, etc.
•Plan schedule of work in accordance with established priorities.
•Coordinate purchasing and inventory control procedures.
•Work in accordance with all safety policies
•A solid understanding of NFPA 70E is required, and employees are expected to work on equipment in the Arc Flash PPE that is necessary to perform the work.

7AM - 3:30PM, Monday - Friday
Desired experience and technical skills
Required
•Journeyman Electrician License Required
•High School diploma or equivalent
•Understanding of 35 KVA and below electrical gear
•3 to 7 years of electrical experience in the commercial or industrial field
•Must be able to: Hold and grip objects. Bend, squat, kneel, climb, crawl, and reach overhead. Work in awkward positions. Twist and turn torso. Push and pull up to 50 pounds. Distinguish primary colors. Subject to periods of prolonged standing. Perform work on ladders, lifts, and scaffolding, including on roofs.
Preferred
•2 years’ experience as an electrician in a Life Sciences or Medical facility
•Proficient computer skills and experience working with Building Automation Systems is desirable.

Estimated total compensation range for this position is:
88,000.00 - 100,000.00 USD per year
The pay range listed is a total compensation range including bonus, if applicable. The provided range is an estimate and not guaranteed. An employment offer is based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity and alignment with market data.
