Your Job
Molex in Lincoln, Nebraska is seeking a Machinist Intern to join their team! As part of this role, you’ll be responsible for executing general machine shop tasks and die storage activities under the guidance of the Tool Room Lead or Supervisor. The work hours can be adjusted to accommodate Precision Machining classes.
Additionally, the position offers participation in a Sponsored Educational Assistance Program, providing support of up to $5250 per calendar year.
Our Team
Molex’s TIS (Transportation and Industrial Solutions) business unit is a segment within Molex that specializes in providing connectivity solutions and technologies tailored for the transportation and industrial sectors. This unit focuses on developing and delivering a wide array of products and solutions that cater to the specific needs of these industries. These solutions often involve connectors, cables, components, and integrated systems that address connectivity, data transmission, and control system requirements in transportation (such as automotive and commercial vehicles) and various industrial applications.
What You Will Do
•
Build spare parts or details from prints or concepts
•
Clean end of run dies and store away
•
Assist Toolmakers as required
•
Participate in team activities to enhance continuous improvement
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
•
Actively pursuing a precision Machining technical degree or related technical degree
•
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Prior experience working in a toolroom, can include previous internship experience
