Sheet Metal Tech Positions and Responsibilities:
Sheet Metal Tech I - This is an entry level laborer position that has limited to no experience or knowledge in the HVAC industry or sheet metal install. This position is responsible for the less technical work on the job site such as assisting in the fabrication, assembly, installation and repair of all HVAC related sheet metal products and equipment, as well as maintaining the cleanliness of the site. Pay range: $21-26 per hour
Sheet Metal Tech II - This position has 3 or more years of experience and is considered to have in-depth knowledge of sheet metal and dry side HVAC applications and design. A Sheet Metal Technician II fabricates, assembles, installs, and repairs all types of HVAC related sheet metal products and equipment but still requires some assistance and is supervised by a Senior Technician. In-depth knowledge of dry-side commercial applications and design. Pay range: $27-32 per hour
Sheet Metal Tech III - This position has 5 or more years of experience and is considered to have mastery knowledge of sheet metal and dry side HVAC applications and design. A Sheet Metal Technician III fabricates, assembles, installs, and repairs all types of HVAC related sheet metal products and equipment. The Technician III also performs equipment startups and check outs. In-depth knowledge of dry-side commercial applications and design. Works under minimal supervision. Pay range: $31-37 per hour
