A Snapshot of Your Day
Apprentices will go to school for ~2.5 days per week to complete their Machinist associate degree on time and will work in the shop for ~2.5 days per week to learn the fundamentals of machining. Will complete a curriculum for the work to make sure they are progressing in their shop learning verifying the work as he goes by electronically filling out quality instruction sheets. Some of the tasks are submitting reports to the training department listing school and work accomplishments.
How You’ll Make an Impact
•In the first year you will gain knowledge about machining fundamentals both at school and work.
•In the 2nd year, you will be assigned to a larger machine and begin learning the details about how to work safely and efficiently.
•By the 3rd year, you will begin to operate your machine/machines on your own.
•In the 4th year, you will become proficient at 1 or more machines.
•In 4 years, you will earn a Journeyman certificate and a 2-year machining degree.
What You Bring
•HS diploma or equivalent. Specialized skill training/certification may be required.
Working knowledge and positive experience working in diverse teams.
•Must provide general guidance to others and train other employees.
•Key Working Relationships: Frequent inter-organizational and external contacts
•Must be able to pass the 3 certifications test with Silver or higher.
•Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.

Gas Services
Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
