Job Duty Summary: This position is responsible for performing a variety of duties related to general maintenance and the repair of equipment throughout the facility in a safe and productive manner.
Specific Duties:
•
Responsible for on-site manufacturing equipment predictive, preventative and corrective maintenance.
•
Preform maintenance activities on utility systems to provide a continuous supply of heat, electrical power, gas, or air required for manufacturing operations.
•
Equipment installations / moves: Ability to support equipment moves, installations, and modifications as needed.
•
Knowledge of pneumatics: Ability to plumb in air supply, trouble shoot valves, cylinders, and general equipment.
•
Knowledge of electrical: Ability to run primary service to equipment, trouble shoot control circuits and efficiently use a meter. PLC programming is a plus.
•
Reads and follows manuals, blueprints, electrical / hydraulic / pneumatic prints and other written instructions.
•
Uses equipment, including power tools, hand tools, electric tools, and plumbing tools.
•
Follow all policies, procedures and work instructions related to quality and product standards.
•
Follow all safety procedures and requirements. Report accidents, near misses and/or unsafe conditions immediately to the supervisor / manager.
•
Collaborates with other maintenance workers to determine the best course of action for required tasks.
•
Cross-train on a variety of equipment, interpersonal skills and technology as needed and/or directed by the Supervisor or Manager within the department.
•
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements for Position:
•
5-7 years prior maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment .
•
High School Diploma or GED.
•
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact and professionally influence individuals, internally and externally, across all levels, functions and geographies.
•
Proven ability to work with minimal supervision and guidance, exercising discretion and independent judgment.
•
Basic working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
•
Demonstrated technical knowledge and troubleshooting ability including the use of tools, meters, etc.
•
Good Work History Including Attendance
•
Effective multitasking skills and the ability to take on additional responsibilities as required
•
Excellent written and verbal communication and organization skills
•
Physical capabilities to perform all duties required
