E.J. Prescott (Team EJP) is looking for a full-time Service Technician to join our Plastic Pipe Fabrication team out of our home office in Gardiner, ME! The Service Technician will divide their time between the shop, where plastic pipe fittings are fabricated to customer specifications, and working in the field servicing, installing, and repairing ours and other products, epoxy applications, grouting, culvert repair, and more. Travel is minimal in the winter months (10%) but picks up significantly (75% - 90%) as the construction / repair season accelerates through the summer months; all business-related expenses - hotel, meals, mileage - are paid.
Scope of Work:
•Manhole, Tank and pipeline Rehabilitation and Protection using Structural epoxy coatings.
•Culvert Rehabilitation: HDPE Slip-lining and grout pumping
•HDPE fabrications and installations
Skill sets and basic responsibilities:
•Safety awareness of job site hazards and commitment to working safely. Have or able to obtain OSHA10 certification or better.
•Carpentry and/or construction experience with basic knowledge of hand and power tools.
•Clean driving record and the ability to get and maintain a DOT Medical Examiner’s Certificate.
•Ability to pass respirator fit test and work while wearing a respirator.
•Must be able to pass a DOT physical.
•Able to work in confined spaces and elevated heights.
•Attention to detail, Pride in workmanship, ability to keep tools and work areas clean, organized, and serviceable.
•Good mechanical aptitude.
•Willingness to travel throughout all New England, with occasional stays through the weekend.
•Willingness to work outside in all weather conditions.
•Good team skills with the ability to follow directions of management and crew leaders, in a fast-paced work environment.
