Job Description
The Mold Technician Apprentice will learn how to evaluate and repair mold equipment for forming lines.
The Mold Technician Apprentice will:
•Work on parts including sanding, welding, grinding, cutting and polishing as needed
•Use multiple air tools, hand tools, spray welders, CNC, lathes and torches
•Assist with delivery and cleaning of mold equipment
•Inspect and measure parts after work is completed
The Mold Maker Apprentice should have:
•Ability to learn and use CNC Mill and Lathe, Vertical Mill and Engine Lathe
•Ability to learn and read blueprints
•Ability to use specialized measuring devices such as micrometers, depth micrometers, vernier calipers, etc.
Qualifications
•Previous glass industry experience
•Must have basic knowledge of computers
•Previous experience working in a tool and die shop is a plus
•Previous CNC programming experience is a plus
