The Machinist I within Memphis Manufacturing will interact closely with Design Technicians, Quality, Operations teams. This position will require understanding of the product performance and the effects of the Process Capabilities, while ensuring quality and compliance excellence.

A Day in the Life
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
•Perform equipment start up procedure.
•Manufacture a custom, patient specific implant, per the given design specifications.
•Interpret product acceptance per the manufacturing drawing.
•Machinist position requires standing for long periods time throughout the shift.
•Operator laser machine, CNC Bending Machine, Manual Mills, Ultrasonic Cleaning Tanks.
•Perform metal finishing functions with equipment such as Grinders, Beed Blasters, Ultrasonic Cleaning Tanks.
•Assemble and/or packaged, and ship finish product.
•Sets up and operates a variety of machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, shapers, planers, and precision grinders to make metal parts, mechanisms, tools, or machines to exacting tolerances and dimensions.
•Interprets blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications; determines sequence of operations, number of cuts required, and method of setup; uses a variety of machinist’s hand tools and precision measuring instruments; makes standard shop computations relating to dimensions of work, tooling, feeds, and speeds; measures, marks, and scribes dimensions and reference points to lay out stock for machining; fits and assembles precision parts into mechanical equipment and determines material, parts, and equipment required.
•May modify numerically controlled programs on numerically controlled (NC) machines.
•May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.
Must Have: Minimum Requirements
•High School Diploma or GED with 0+ years of experience required
Nice to Have
•Manufacturing experience of Medical device/Pharmaceutical or other regulated industry experience.
•Experience with use of statistical process control and data analysis tools.
•Experience with Lean Sigma/DFSS/DRM/DMAIC methodology.
•Experience in E2 ERP software for creating manufacturing Processes
•Experience working with Quality System Process Documents
•Experience understanding proper documentation/quality requirements for a regulated environment

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location.
