FUNCTIONAL ROLE
A HVAC Apprentice performs general labor and HVAC assistance under the direction of the Senior HVAC Technician to perform the day-to-day activities of the project while achieving highest efficiency, adequate schedule, high quality and safety goals set by Service Manager.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
•Assist with routine repair and and service of HVAC related equipment
•Assist in diagnosing HVAC equipment under direction of of technician Apprentice is working with
•Assist in maintenance of HVAC equipment
•Helps set up tools and equipment
•Loads and unloads construction materials from service van
•Assists in lifting, positioning and securing of materials and devices during installation
•Assist Senior HVAC Technician and perform work according to instructions given
•Makes concentrated effort to gain basic skill set required for position of HVAC technician including, but not limited to, participating in apprenticeship or other industry training programs, attending in house training functions, participates in assigned training opportunities as directed by Service Manager

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Must be actively enrolled and attending qualified apprenticeship program and making progression toward graduation.
