RESPONSIBILITIES
•Aircraft Maintenance and Repairs:
o Perform routine and non-routine maintenance tasks on aircraft, including scheduled inspections, repairs, and overhauls.
o Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and implement corrective actions.
o Replace or repair defective components, such as engines, brakes, and avionics systems.
•Inspections and Testing:
o Conduct thorough inspections of aircraft systems and components to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
o Perform functional tests on aircraft systems and equipment after repairs or modifications.
o Document inspection findings and maintain accurate records of maintenance activities.
o Ensure all maintenance and repair work is performed in accordance with manufacturer guidelines, company policies, and aviation regulations.
o Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices to ensure compliance and safety.
•Technical Documentation:
o Complete and maintain detailed maintenance records, logs, and reports.
o Interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams to perform accurate repairs and maintenance.
•Safety and Quality Assurance:
o Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
o Participate in quality assurance programs to ensure the highest standards of maintenance and safety.
o Work collaboratively with other technicians, engineers, and maintenance personnel to complete tasks efficiently.
o Provide guidance and support to junior technicians as needed.
o Sign for and be held accountable for all work accomplished.
o Be reliable and maintain regular attendance/punctuality.
o Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
•A high school diploma or GED is required.
•Experience with 737-300 and/or 400 aircraft or additional technical training or certification in similar aircraft maintenance preferred.
•Must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
•Pass a pre-employment background check and maintain qualifications in accordance with DOT/FAA regulations.
•Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required.
•Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
LANGUAGE AND COMMUNICATION SKILLS
•Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
•Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
•Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
•Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
•The work is classified as “heavy”.
•Ability to perform the tasks and responsibilities of the position in a safe and effective manner including lifting up-to 70 lbs., climbing, reaching, standing, pushing, and pulling up to 100 lbs.
•Exposure to high noise levels, moving aircraft and equipment, dirt, dust, fumes, heat, cold, exposure to hazardous materials, exhaust fumes, working in confined spaces for extended periods, and working outside in harsh winter conditions for up to 2 hours at a time. Use of personal protective equipment including respirators.
