Lineman C2 perform electrical construction work including maintaining poles, power lines, auxiliary facilities and equipment for distributing electricity. You will build single phase energized facilities above 600 volts. Experience required is second year second, six months. You will report to the crew Foreman.
CDL strongly preferred or ability to acquire CDL permit within 60 days of hire.
What You’ll Do
•Work on utility poles and fixtures on limited energized situations
•Demonstrate proper cover application, handling energized single-phase primary conductors and working around covered multi-phase lines
•Frame transformer banks, rotate three phase secondary/services and troubleshoot transformers
•Follow safety performance requirements
•Introduction to tree trimming, multimeter operations, using line test equipment, cut-outs and reclosures, advanced rigging, line repair with rubber gloves, working on pole top equipment, regulators, oil circuit recloser, troubleshoot lines, and hot stick usage
•Complete required company training, including safety training
•Perform Administrative duties as required
•Perform other responsibilities as requested by leadership
What You’ll Have
•Minimum 2.5 years’ experience in the electrical powerline industry
•All the skills required for Lineman C1
•Understand basic electricity, MAD, proper PPE, proper IPP and how to Install
•Pass evaluation of competency before promotion and activity in the Apprenticeship Training Program

Work Environment
•Work sites are outdoors in potentially extreme weather conditions
•All worksite safety instructions are written and spoken in English; must be fluent in English
•Work includes prolonged and repeated: lifting (including overhead, up to 50lbs); standing; climbing; kneeling; reaching and feeling; crouching and crawling
•Work is performed within the “red zone” of heavy equipment
•Working safely requires quick/accurate hand-eye coordination and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner
