•Reads, interprets, and executes drawings, schematics, blueprints, electrical code specifications and layout for commercial electrical equipment installations
•Tests electrical equipment and parts for continuity, current, voltage, and resistance; corrects connections and wiring on equipment controls where incorrect applications may cause dangerous conditions
•Installs, repairs, or replaces AC/DC motors and drives, transformers, starters, relays, hydraulic and gas electrical controls, generators and industrial storage batteries
•Installs, repairs, or replaces electrical and communications wiring, circuits, panels, conduits, receptacles, switches, lighting, enclosures and other electrical parts
•Conducts preventive maintenance, and keeps maintenance records
•May install, maintain, and calibrate industrial equipment and connected devices
•Complies with standards and procedures of the industry (NEC), MSHA, OSHA, MiOSHA, the company safety manual, and company policy and procedures
•Other duties as assigned

•Enrollment in an apprenticeship program at a college and/or online
•Valid Driver’s license with the ability to obtain a Chauffeur’s license within first 30 days of hire
•Clean driving record for past 3 years
•Ability to pass pre-employment physical and drug screen
•High School Diploma or GED preferred
•Enrollment in an accredited apprenticeship program via a college and/or online program, must be an apprentice electrician
•Must be able to follow and implement electrical schematics, diagrams, and blueprints
•Possess strong communication skills, self-supervision, and respect for safety needs
•Ability and willingness to learn and understand your role on the team, positive team spirit, and be able to work closely with various departments and personalities
•Must have a versatile work schedule with ability to work varied shifts and long hours, if needed, while performing repetitive movements.
•Ability to climb ladders and potentially be in confined spaces
•Must possess own transportation
•Ability to work outside in all environmental work conditions
