The Machinist provides quality machine work for the factory maintenance department. They will operates lathes, shapers, milling machines, drill presses, metallizers, arbor presses.
Principle accountabilities include but are not limited to:
•The Machinist works with various metals and machines according to specification.
•Machines spare parts for factory equipment.
•Overhauls and repairs mechanical equipment and rebuilds shafting according to specifications.
•Acts as a resource to mechanics in use of measuring devices such as micrometers, calipers, levels, etc.
•Rebuilds and metallizes shafts and pumps.
Job Requirements:
•High School diploma or a GED certificate is required.
•Individuals are required to take a Mechanical Aptitude Test and Basic Skills Test to verify basic skills and knowledge.
•Individuals are required to submit to and successfully pass a Safety Screen that evaluates their ability to safely execute duties and tasks of this position.
•Able to read, write and communicate effectively.
•Must have a valid driver’s license.
