About the Role: Imagine yourself as a Pump Mechanic, demonstrating expertise with engine, pump, and compressor mechanics. You will work with various types of pumps, including Positive Displacement, Centrifugal, and Reciprocating Plunger Pumps, ensuring their optimal performance through troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems and the ability to perform repairs in the field.

Responsibilities:
Operational Activity:
Demonstrated expertise with engine, pump, and compressor mechanic experience working with Positive Displacement pumps from Viking pump to SWD triplex injection pumps, including making any needed repairs in the field such as packing replacement.
Troubleshoot, repair, and replace Centrifugal pumps (all brands), including replacing seals, rebuilding, or replacing as conditions warrant.
Work with triplex, quintuplex, centrifugal, and reciprocating plunger pumps.
Repair, rekit, or replace Kimray back pressure valves, separator oil, and water dumps of various manufacturers.
Troubleshoot pump & compressor valves, identify and repair compressor packing leaks.
Experience in troubleshooting and repairing centrifugal and positive displacement (SWD) pumps.
Troubleshoot mechanical problems and perform root cause failure analysis.
Perform basic troubleshooting of automation and electrical equipment.
Working knowledge of emission systems, exhaust catalysts, and State emissions compliance.
Strong understanding and competence in Lock Out/Tag Out procedures.
Utilize technical skills related to math and analytical thinking.

Minimum Qualifications:
2+ years oil & gas pump mechanic experience required; must have working knowledge of oil & gas production operations.
Demonstrated troubleshooting and repair of triplex, quintuplex, centrifugal, and reciprocating plunger pumps.
Experienced with changing out packings and couplings.
Lock Out/Tag Out experience/certification.
Strong initiative and self-starter attributes, and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Must be available for rotating callouts.
Must reside in Pecos, Barstow, Mentone, Kermit, Orla, TX.
High School Diploma or GED equivalent; college or technical training strongly preferred.
Valid Texas Driver’s License with an excellent driving record.
Must meet all conditional job offer requirements including background, drug, hair follicle, MVR, agility, and fit for duty.
