JOB PURPOSE:
Responsible for support activities for manufacturing teams: audits, changeovers, assisting with SPC, coaching manufacturing technicians, data collection, lab analysis, inspection, setting gages, record keeping, etc.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Perform line audits in the beginning of the shift to assure that conditions are being maintained to produce good parts.
•Perform quality processes during line changeovers including preparation of tooling gages, leak seats, master valves and drawings, verify clean out process is complete, set up gages on the line, keep gage inventory accurate, measure the set up valves, and verify Poke Yokes are working correctly
•Assist quality and manufacturing technicians by employing effective problem solving and troubleshooting skills and guides pertaining to quality issues.
•Understand and execute on all company requirements, industry requirements, and customer standards.
•Perform receiving inspection of raw materials
•Participate in team training and manufacturing technician assistance, provide input for self and team performance reviews. Maintain effective line coverage for assigned team at all times.
•Responsible for and maintain lot controls as part of IATF-16949.
•Provide timely identification and reporting of discrepancies to appropriate team members, Supervisors, etc.
•Rotate positions as required. Learn all operations in the department through successful acquisition of skill-based training program consistent with scheduled time frame for such progression.
•Read and comprehend written and numeric information, process drawings, gages, SPC, etc., and understand total concept as it affects immediate and future outcomes. Comprehend and approach problems within department with an understanding of their effect on total plant effectiveness.
QUALIFICATIONS:
•Experience in manufacturing environment in Quality Assurance, metallurgical prep and inspection, SPC, calibration of micrometers, dial & digital gages. Strong mathematical skills and experience with metric system preferred
