•An apprentice will assist a licensed elevator mechanic in all aspects of the job including installation, modernization, service and maintenance.
•Job duties include assembly, installation, repair, service and maintenance of electric and hydraulic freight and passenger elevators, escalators, moving walkways and dumbwaiters.
•Applicants must be at least 18 years of age at the time of application.
•Applicants can now start the program as early as their junior year of high school with our Maryland State Approved High School Elevator Apprentice Program. Once graduated, they move directly into our CET Program.
•Applicants must be physically able to perform the work of the trade, including heights.
•Must be a high school graduate or the equivalent.
•Able to travel as needed, holding a valid/good driver’s license – some overnight work may be required.
•Successfully pass drug and background screening, as well as, obtain security clearance for job site access.
