1.Mixes grout, using a hoe or concrete mixing machine. Verifies mix specifics including temperature and grout/water quantity. Ensures grout prep is completed as specified.
2.Flags concrete trucks and checks truck tickets to verify the correct mix is being used.
3.Removes rough or defective spots from concrete using a grinder, hammer, and / or chisel.
4.Wets and rubs concrete with an abrasive stone to impart the appropriate finish.
5.Screeds, floats, and trowels poured concrete floors, walls, and sidewalks to specified textures using hand tools or power tools. Must be able to identify grade.
6.Operates power trowels and concrete saws during paving operations.
7.Directs concrete to the forms and spreads it to a specified depth and workable consistency.
8.Molds expansion joints and edges using jointers, straight edge, and edging tools. Be able to perform a broom finish.
9.Must be able to run vibrator for up to 8 hours and know how to do tie-ins from one life to the next.
10.Assists in lifting, positioning, and securing of materials and work pieces during installation.
11.Cleans tools and equipment.
12.Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
13.Must be able to safely traverse uneven terrain with / without tools and building materials.
14.Performs a variety of tasks involving safe dexterous use of hand tools.
15.Safely operates power tools and equipment.
16.Must be able to stand or walk on rebar mats (narrow surfaces).
17.Must be able to climb ladders or stairs and work at heights.
18.Adheres to all safety procedures.
19.Typically requires a minimum of 48 months of industrial construction experience.
