Be a part of a team that supports the Olathe Production floor in the operation of test equipment. You will troubleshoot, repair and validate test equipment across multiple products and applications. This will enable you to support new products, processes, standards or operational plans within the organization’s business strategies, directly affecting uptime and having a direct impact on business results.
Key Responsibilities
•
Diagnose, and repair electronic test equipment and test cables
•
Perform validation testing of cables and test panels
•
Procures piece parts necessary to complete Test Equipment assignments
•
Maintains and modifies (as specified) exiting custom Test Equipment
•
Provides customer support
U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS
Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.
YOU MUST HAVE
•
High School Diploma
•
Previous soldering experience
•
Previous Cable and Connector inspection and/or repair experience
•
Ability to read Schematic, Wire list, BOM, and Assembly drawings
WE VALUE

Some experience in test support
•
Have practical experience working with engineering equipment
•
Be able to find effective solutions based on root causes; and apply six sigma procedures
•
Sound technical judgment and opinions
•
Individuals who are self-motivated and able to work with little supervision, who consistently take the initiative to get things done, do things before being asked by others or forced to by events
•
Ability to consistently make timely decisions even in the face of complexity, balancing systematic analysis with decisiveness
•
Good interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate with both internal and external customers and suppliers
•
Ability to use tools including wire crimpers, wire strippers and various other manual hand tools in the repair of cables and test equipment
