The Assembler Process position shall be a hybrid of the Productions Specialist position and special process work - any employee in this role MUST be capable and willing to do both parts of the job description. The Assembler Process position shall be utilized to fulfill special process staffing needs.
PART ONE: Description of Special Process Component
•In addition to acting as a Production Specialist as needed, anyone in this role must be fully trained (and/or certified) to conduct one or more of the following special processes:
o Plating
o Brazing
o Paint spraying (requires respirator fit test)
o Tig welding

Qualifications:
•Previous experience in assembly work.
•Read, write, and communicate with other employees.
•Work accurately from written and verbal instructions, with minim supervision, on non-repetitive jobs, following detailed procedures with minimal errors.
•Measure and mix hazardous materials safely and accurately.
•Recognize normal colors and textures for various finishes applied.
•Basic blueprint reading.
•Work in warm, humid atmosphere wearing appropriate protective equipment.
•Not allergies to smells, fumes, or chemicals.
•(If applicable to special process) Eyesight: near 14/18 Yeager J2; far 20/50 snellen. Must pass annual eye exam.
•(If working on Safety Sensitive parts) Part of FAA Drug & Alcohol Pool
•(If applicable to special process) Be able to wear a respirator for extended periods of time
U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS
Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.
PART TWO: Description of Production Specialist Component
The incumbent will be expected to perform all functions of the Production Specialist role as needed while working in this capacity. This shall include but not be limited to:
•Manipulate small items, parts, etc.
•Understand the principle of soldering and making satisfactory solder connections.
•Understand assembly blue prints and operation cards.
•Understand measurement tools.
•A good working knowledge of general assembly work (assembling parts together with nuts, bolts, screws, adhesives, etc.)
•Read wiring diagrams, assembly drawings and parts lists.
•Produce good solder connections to appropriate military specifications.
•Soldering of all types. Successful completion of Honeywell Soldering School may be required.
•Hand fitting close tolerance parts and assemblies.
•Dynamic balancing of rotors.
•Static and dynamic balancing of gyros.
•Perform soldering, silver soldering or brazing operations using a torch or induction machine.
Qualifications:
•Read, write, and communicate with other employees.
•Work with verbal and written instructions.
•Work with minimum supervision.
•Knowledge of the proper use of tools.
•Sit for long periods of time
•Manipulate small tools and parts.
•Distinguish closely fitting surfaces.
•Possess good depth perception.
•Work under microscope for extended periods of time.
•Terminology of symbols, used on wiring diagrams, assembly drawings, parts list.
•Proper use of tools, equipment, and materials.
•Understand assembly blueprints and operation cards.
•Understand measurement tools.
•A good working knowledge of general assembly work (assembling parts together with nuts, bolts, screws, adhesives, etc.)
