CCS Construction Staffing is seeking an experienced Chiller Technician for a direct hire position in Corpus Christi, TX. This role requires advanced technical expertise in installing, maintaining, and repairing commercial and industrial chiller systems, with a focus on centrifugal and screw chillers.
Key Responsibilities
•Installation & Commissioning: Install new centrifugal chillers and related components (pumps, piping, etc.) and perform system startup and commissioning.
•Maintenance & Repair: Conduct routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and corrective repairs on chiller systems, including mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant components.
•Troubleshooting & Diagnostics: Diagnose and repair compressors, controls, pumps, and other system components using advanced diagnostic tools and OEM-specific software.
•System Knowledge: Apply knowledge of water-side and air-side systems, building automation systems, and complex mechanical systems.
•Documentation: Maintain accurate maintenance logs, repair reports, and inspection records.
•Safety & Compliance: Follow OSHA job site safety standards, refrigerant handling protocols, and other applicable regulations.
•Customer Service: Deliver timely, accurate service while building strong relationships with clients and clearly explaining work performed.
Required Skills & Qualifications
•Proven experience in commercial/industrial HVAC, with expertise in centrifugal and screw chillers
•Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge, including pumps, motors, and compressors
•Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, gauges, and precision measuring equipment
•Experience with diagnostic tools and OEM-specific software for multiple chiller manufacturers
•Ability to read and interpret complex schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprints
•Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
•Excellent written, verbal, and listening communication skills
