Job Description
CCS Construction Staffing is hiring HVAC Sheet Metal Apprentices for a hospital project in Uvalde, TX. Candidates will assist in fabricating and installing ductwork, copper lines, and HVAC units under the guidance of experienced mechanics. This is an excellent opportunity to build long-term skills and grow in the commercial HVAC trade.
Work Scope Includes
•Assisting with layout, assembly, and installation of sheet metal ductwork
•Supporting the installation and brazing of HVAC copper lines
•Helping set and connect RTUs (Rooftop Units) and floor units
•Learning to read and follow blueprints and mechanical drawings
•Maintaining a clean and safe work area
•Following all site safety requirements and directions from foremen
Tools Needed
•Basic hand tools and full PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, hi-vis vest, steel-toe boots)
Requirements
•2-5 years of HVAC or sheet metal experience preferred
•Basic knowledge of ductwork and copper line installation
•Willingness to learn and follow direction from lead mechanics
•Must provide required tools and PPE
•Dependable, safety-conscious, and motivated to develop trade skills
•Reliable transportation required
