Work Scope:
Commercial Journeyman HVAC Mechanics will be working on a Naval Yard project in Philadelphia, PA. This position is heavily focused on commercial HVAC service and maintenance work rather than new installs.
Mechanics will be responsible for working with boilers, chillers, rooftop units (RTUs), and performing preventive and corrective maintenance. Knowledge and adherence to lockout/tagout procedures is required. All candidates must complete badging requirements, as well as pass a 5-panel drug test and background check prior to starting.
This role requires experienced HVAC professionals who can troubleshoot systems, ensure compliance with safety standards, and maintain operational efficiency in an active facility.
HVAC Mechanic Requirements:
•Minimum 5+ years of commercial HVAC experience
•Skilled in service and maintenance of boilers, chillers, and rooftop units
•Knowledge of lockout/tagout procedures and safety compliance
•Must pass 5-panel drug test, background check, and obtain site badge
•Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and equipment manuals
•Must provide own hand tools and PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, hi-vis vest, work boots)
•Must have reliable transportation to and from the Naval Yard site
•Strong focus on safety, quality workmanship, and reliability
