Position Summary
Plan, lay-out, install, test and repair all types of Mining equipment in accordance with all applicable plans, specifications, codes and industry standards. Assure that all Mining equipment works efficiently, safely and is in compliance with the company Preventative Maintenance Program.
Experience Level
Master Technician
Primary Responsibilities and Duties
•
Experience with diesel engines, hydraulic, pneumatic and 24V electrical systems.
•
Read and understand plans and specifications, which includes the Maintenance Manuals for equipment repair.
•
Use appropriate hand and power tools to repair, replace or perform maintenance on equipment
•
Receive equipment assigned to the job and document the condition; set this equipment up on a regular service and inspection schedules
•
Thorough leak inspection and identification
•
Perform corrective maintenance on all equipment.
•
Communicate issues with machines to production management when necessary.
Qualifications
•
May require a high school diploma or its equivalent with previous years of experience in the field or in a related area.
•
Must possess working knowledge skills and abilities for position.
•
Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions and communicate effectively with management/supervision.
•
Field experience is mandatory
•
Ability to use hand tools, power tools and layout tools safe and efficiently.
Requirements
•
Able to meet all physical requirements.
•
Must have all required tools
•
Expected to climb onto equipment and work in tight conditions
•
Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
•
Able to work 12-hour shifts on a 14 - on and 7 - off rotation schedule. Including weekends and night shift.
•
Able to work on your feet for several hours per shift
•
Observe and comply with all safety and project rules. Performs other duties as required.
