Job description
Position Summary
Keeps interior and surrounding exterior of school district buildings in a well maintained, safe and orderly condition.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Duties include, but are not limited to general carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work. Operates various types of equipment, tools, and testing devices. Also, may be asked to with school snow removal. Use of Work Order system (iPad) to track repairs and labor hours to make repairs. The ability to drive a company vehicle.

Knowledge, Special Skills and Experience Required or Desired
•
Valid Driver’s License
•
Physical abilities include standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crawling, balancing
•
Ability to follow established procedures
•
Ability to understand and follow Safety Procedures
•
Attention to detail and strong time-management skills
•
Active listening and clear communication skills
•
Operation of various types of equipment
•
Ability to lift and manipulate heavy objects up to 75lbs
•
Adaptable to change in the work environment
•
Ability to work independently
Physical and Mental Efforts
•
This position requires a high level of physical and mental endurance.
•
Sitting in an office/classroom environment, performing tasks on a computer or other technical devices.
•
Frequent standing, particularly for sustained periods of time.
•
Frequent walking, moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one part of the building to another.

Constantly talking, expressing, or exchanging ideas to colleagues and/or students accurately, loudly, or quickly.

Ability to hear and listen to detailed information through oral communication.

Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
•
Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
•
Specific vision abilities required include close vision and distance vision.
•
Ability to handle and balance multiple demands at the same time.
