Job Overview
The Planned Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting across a variety of production equipment and facility systems. This role ensures safe, reliable, and efficient operation of machinery while minimizing unplanned downtime.
Highlights of your role
•
Perform Routine Inspections
•
Conduct regular inspections of machinery, equipment, and facility systems to identify wear, potential failures, and maintenance needs.
•
Execute Preventive Maintenance Tasks
•
Complete lubrication, cleaning, adjustments, part replacements, and minor repairs on mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems.
•
Troubleshoot Equipment Issues
•
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control-related malfunctions; provide recommendations and carry out corrective actions.
•
Maintain Accurate Documentation
•
Record maintenance activities, parts used, time spent, findings, and future recommendations in the maintenance management system.
•
Ensure Safety Compliance
•
Follow all safety procedures, lockout/tagout requirements, and workplace safety standards to maintain a safe environment.
•
Respond to Work Orders
•
Address urgent maintenance requests and support production needs to reduce equipment downtime and maintain operational continuity.
You’re a good fit if you have (or if you can)
•
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment working with machine tools, controls, or automated equipment. Technical Aptitude: Working knowledge of basic mechanical and electrical systems; familiarity with industrial equipment preferred.
•
Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to assess issues, diagnose root causes, and recommend effective solutions.
•
Documentation Skills: Competent in maintaining logs, completing work orders, and creating clear maintenance reports.
•
Attention to Detail: Thoroughness in inspections and maintenance tasks to prevent future failures.
•
Communication Skills: Ability to clearly communicate findings, needs, and updates with maintenance team members and other departments.
•
Flexibility: Willingness to work varying shifts, including nights and weekends, as needed.
•
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks associated with maintenance work.
