OVERVIEW
The EDDR Foundation, in collaboration with Illinois Works, offers a 10-week (250-hour) Construction Pre-Apprenticeship Training Program that will provide students with an introduction to practices used in the construction industry (such as Basic Safety, Construction Math, blueprint reading and more). Students will develop safe work habits while learning about various tools and procedures used in the construction trades. Students will be introduced to a variety of skills, such as basic communication concepts, goal setting, resume writing, job interview techniques, time management, and critical thinking. At the end of the program, students will receive a globally recognized construction credential from NCCER, OSHA 10 certification, Flagger certification, and a first aid/CPR certification.
Construction training sessions are provided with the safety of employees and employers in mind. We make sure that our construction training provides the necessary skills and experience needed for employees to not only work more effectively but also to keep themselves and everyone else safe.
