What you will do
The HVAC Project Apprentice will work with the project team on the installation and service of various types of HVAC equipment. The position comes with a company gas card and company truck which will be issued once the employee completes the 90 day probational period. Johnson Controls takes pride and looks forward to training apprentices to become competent, highly skilled journeypersons for our company and in the workforce.
How you will do it
•Installation of chillers cooling towers, pumps, air-cooled chillers, boilers, piping, ductwork, rooftop units, split-systems, and more
•The project apprentice will be trained on Johnson Controls safety culture and be supervised to be sure they are working safely and efficiently and following all safety rules JCI requires
•Following Johnson Controls safety protocols and wearing PPE when on-site
What we look for
Requirements:
•1 year experience working on mechanical systems
•Must have a letter of introduction from Union Local 601
•Basic technology and computer skills
•Positive attitude and ability to work well with others
•Must be involved in a 5-year local union apprenticeship program
