•Range Instrumentation Systems (RIS): Communications systems, data link systems, radar systems, destruct systems, computer controlled console systems, displays, ground stations, RF systems and tower mounted equipment, range instrumentation, fiber optics and other equipment assigned to the aerial targets contract.
•Utilize test equipment to certify operation and troubleshoot systems for example: 915 MHz Test Sets, DLS, DLSr, Destruct Systems, etc.
•Must maintain an active CompTIA A+ or higher cyber security certification.
•Perform depot repairs associated with RIS. Performs organizational and intermediate (O&I) type maintenance and repairs to aircraft, targets, radar, COMSEC material and other associated equipment in the Aerial Targets contract.
•Typical work may include: Operates, inspects, repairs, maintains, services, rebuilds, modifies and troubleshoots AATTCS and Range Communications.
•Applies technical knowledge to perform duties through the use of manufacturer manuals, technical orders, regulations and COTS publications and other written documentation.
•Assists in the development and installation of modifications associated with aircraft and targets, communications and control systems, test and support equipment associated with the Aerial Targets Program.
•Applies comprehensive technical knowledge to solve complex depot level problems including those that cannot be solved through the use of manufacturers’ manuals, technical orders, etc. pertaining to the operations and maintenance of electrical/electronic equipment and aircraft associated with Aerial Targets contract.
•Initiates, edits technical documentation and drawings to reflect authorized modifications and configuration changes.
•Maintains maintenance records and enters maintenance actions in forms and/or automated records.
•Provides technical data for completion of AFTO Form 22s, QDRs, MDRs, etc.
•Provides technical guidance and training to equal or lower level personnel. May be required to perform work of lower technical level personnel.
•Performs other duties, related tasks within their classifications as assigned by a Supervisor.
•Associate’s degree in Electronic Technology, Engineering or similar discipline. Management may allow work experience to be substituted for degree depending on the type and length of experience.
•Will be required to perform work as a tower climber.
•Overtime, weekend and TDY work may be required.
•Must possess or obtain an active CompTIA A+ or higher cyber security certification within 90 days of start date.
•Secret security clearance is required. Applicants selected must be a US Citizen in order to apply for a Secret Security Clearance. Applicants selected either must currently possess a Secret clearance or will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements to obtain clearance prior to commencement of employment and maintain a security clearance for access to classified information or Closed/Restricted Areas throughout duration of employment.
