What would you do as a Sheet Metal Worker?
Cut and mold sheets of metal into components for installing heating, ventilation and air distribution systems.
Operate computerized fabrication machines such as plasma cutters, brakes, presses and forming rolls to cut, bend, block and form sheet metal.
Solve challenging problems with highly technical layouts, prints and specifications using math and critical thinking.

As an ABCSD apprentice, you will work for an ABCSD member contractor and receive paid on-the-job training. You will also attend school to complete your theory and technical classroom requirements, typically two nights per week.
You will earn college credits from the Chabot Las-Positas Community College District for each course you complete.
We honor Post-9/11 GI Bill benefits.
When you complete the program you receive certification from both the State of California and U.S. Department of Labor
How to qualify?
· Must be at least 18 years of age.
· Have a high school diploma, GED or high school equivalency.
· Be able to legally work in the United States.
· Have reliable personal transportation.
