•Installation, maintenance, and repair of vessel and factory equipment to include pumps, motors, belts, and conveyors relating to the Baader machine
•Modifies, fabricates and repairs factory equipment, as requested by Factory Manager
•Utilizes tig, mig, and arc welding skills to modify, fabricate, and repair equipment as directed
•Maintains adequate and accurate inventory of necessary parts and supplies
•Troubleshoots problems and assesses and determines the most effective means of repair and or replacement
•Provides recommendations to factory management for design improvements
•Strong troubleshooting and assessment skills, with proven ability to take initiative and self-motivate
•Basic mechanical knowledge and minimum 2 years formal education in a related mechanical field
•Documented knowledge of factory trawlers machinery and equipment, as well as comprehensive understanding of factory operations
•Well organized and punctual
•Ability to read mechanical schematics and drawings
•Knowledge of computerized numerical controls
•Ability to pass a pre-employment and random drug tests
•Must be capable of boarding and exiting a vessel without physical assistance by climbing up and down a gangplank or using a Jacob’s ladder
•Must climb or descend one or more set of steep stairs, or vertical ladders inside and outside the vessel in all weather conditions as extreme as 30 degrees below zero
•Ability to lift repetitively for long periods of time
