Briggs & Stratton / Billy Goat is a leading and innovative manufacturer of outdoor power equipment. We specialize in the design and manufacture of machines in three product groups: Debris Management (vacuums, blowers, and debris loaders), Lawn Renovation, and Brush Cutters. We have an immediate opening for a full time Material Handler/Forklift Operator to support our operations at our warehouse located in the Fairfax District (1601 Fairfax Trafficway, Kansas City, Kansas 66115).
Work Hours: 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., Monday - Friday. Overtime is required at various times during the year. Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen. Starting pay depends on experience and will have the opportunity to qualify for additional pay rate increase after 90 days. Review in 90 after hire.

You will be eligible for a generous 401k plan after 45 days of employment. Full time employees are also eligible for paid holidays, PTO (paid time off), and quarterly productivity and attendance bonuses. $500 Bonus payable after a successful 90 days of employment.

Under direction loads, unloads, transports and organizes materials.
Job Responsibilities
•Loads and unloads trucks
•Transports materials to designated areas or locations
•Supplies production lines with needed materials.
•Understands Bill of Material (BOM) and/or part requirements in preparation for changeovers
•Performs other duties as assigned
Job Skills Requirements
•Ability to operate forklift efficiently and safety
•Ability to operate other material handling equipment
•Fluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility and/or location
Education
High School diploma
General Education Degree
Experience Requirements
•Material Handling experience preferred
Physical & Environmental Requirements
Some physical demand; often lifts light weight material. Rarely lifting/moving average weight (25-50 lbs/11-27 kgs) material.
Ability to perform occasional to frequent pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, twisting, crawling and/or reaching over a full work shift (8-12 hours)
Ability to stand and/or walk constantly over a full work shift (8-12 hours)
Exposure to noise levels for which hearing protection is required to be worn over a full work shift (8-12 hours)
