Job Description
Danfoss Turbocor Compressors Inc, a leading-edge technology company in Tallahassee, Florida, is looking for a 2nd shift Test Rig Technician. The hours for this position are Monday - Thursday 3:30 pm - 2:00 am with Friday overtime being very likely and the occasional Saturday.
Our products are high speed, oil-free HVAC compressors using magnetic bearings, variable speed direct drive and digital control technologies. The Production Technician will be responsible for mass-production of varying models of oil-free compressors by performing and participating in component parts preparation and line assembly operations.

Job Responsibilities
•Validating and diagnostic testing of compressors to ensure proper compliance
•Adding and recovering refrigerant
•Tends machines, such as hydraulic or pneumatic presses, air wrenches, or other tools to perform force fitting, fastening and/or bonding operations on the assembly line.
•Is trained on, and works at, various tasks including mechanical assembly, operating pressure test stands, functional testing, preparation, material handling and other related operations as required.
•Communicate efficiently with end of line test associates to provide them with quick support to guarantee daily production targets
•Troubleshoot replacing appropriate components based on analysis
•Help to troubleshoot failures of compressors and test equipment to locate source of malfunctions and provide resolution
•Report all issues and finding using the FPY report immediately after they occur. All issues reported must be followed up to properly identify root cause and needs for improvement
•Responsible to train or assist in training operators on test stand stations to ensure tests are properly performed, and to identify improvement opportunities and gaps with training
•Assure troubleshooting information shown by SMT/LabView after any failure occurs is accurate and update when necessary work instructions and sequence cards
•Create and update work instructions to reflect current procedures in testing and validate improvement ideas with Engineering
•Ability to cross train and work across multiple processes
•Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
•Responsible for maintaining a clean, safe and orderly workplace.
•Responsible for understanding and complying with quality policy, procedures and instructions to ensure product quality, customer satisfaction, attainment of business goals and environmental well-being.

Education and/or Experience
•High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
•One to three years related experience and/or training
•Basic computer skills including Microsoft Excel and various programs
•EPA 608 Certification Required
